Five tips on beating the blues

Face it, girlfriends, we’re all humans and get down in the dumps sometimes – but check out these five tips to brighten your mood!

Eat
Treating yourself to a little dark chocolate can enhance your mood though! The cocoa can boost your serotonin levels and increases feelings of contentment. Bananas, turmeric, and berries have also been known to boost moods.

Music
Pick up your mood by listening to some of your favorite songs. There is music for every mood, so don’t underestimate its power in adding sparkle to your day.

Exercise
Exercise is perhaps the most well-known stress reliever. Endorphins are released from the brain which creates a natural high and triggers positive emotions.

Retreat
Time spent in nature will work wonders for your mood.  Even a quick walk on your lunch break can give you comfort, energy, and help you refocus.

Puppies or Kittens
It’s a proven fact that pets lift our spirits!  Their unconditional love is pure joy. Stroking their fur and feeling their warmth is calming and can reduce stress.
